Tennis player Rafa Nadal is the most popular athlete in the Spanish Olympic delegation in Rio 2016, according to a study by Francesc Pujol, professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Navarra.

The study, which measures Spanish representatives' popularity on the Internet and social networks, puts Nadal on top with 100 points, followed by the basketball player Pau Gasol with 31.3 points, and tennis player Garbiñe Muguruza with 16 points, reports the University of Navarra.

According to this report, Rafa Nadal is among the top ten athletes in the Olympics in terms of popularity, along with others like U.S. athletes Serena Williams and Kevin Durant.
