French director Tony Gatlif, of Algerian origins, won the award of the 14th edition of the Human Rights Film Festival in San Sebastian, north of Spain, which will begin on April 15.

The festival will open with the Danish film "Land of Mine" by director Martin Zandvliet, while activities will focus on the issues of migration, poverty and transitional justice, among others.

A total of 22 long films and 17 short films will compete in this event.

Tony Gatlif will receive the Human Rights Film Festival award at the opening ceremony on April 15, when his film "The Crazy Stranger" (1997), one of the most successful films by the French filmmaker, will be screened.
