Renata Lozano's "Descubre que es posible" (Discover What's Possible) collection showcased exotic landscapes with flowers and birds in the final presentation of the 27th Colombiamoda fashion event in Medellin.
"I invite women to dream with new possibilities in how they dress, to be a little bit more daring when it comes to expressing their personal style," the Colombian designer told EFE.
Renata's offering for 2017 Spring/Summer features a versatile mix of fabrics, with denim, cotton, silk, brocade and chiffons.
The line was conceived "for the woman who wants to be up to date, to look pretty," she said.
Nature, a pervasive theme in Renata's designs, showed up in prints by illustrator Natalia Swarz who drew a landscape highlighting the crane, the company's signature bird.
In keeping with the nature theme, Swarz's palette evoked in blue hues the Mediterranean Sea, with moss green for the woods, and the pinks and bright reds of flowers.
The contribution of artisans enhanced the collection with embroideries and gemstones enriching the textiles.
