Thailand’s constitutional court dissolved a popular opposition party Friday after finding it guilty of breaching funding laws, a move critics said is part of a harassment campaign against it.

The move to disband the Future Forward Party for accepting a loan from its leader Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, 40, is seen as a major blow to the country’s democracy, which had only been reinstated last year following years of military dictatorship.
