Dylan Teuns won stage 6 of the Tour de France on Thursday while Guilio Ciccone became the new race leader.

Ciccone, whose performance saw him claim the yellow jersey, finished second, followed by Xandro Meurisse.

Thursday’s 160.5-kilometer mountain stage took the pack from Mulhouse to La Planche des Belles Filles in eastern France.

Julian Alaphilippe lost the yellow jersey after wearing it for three days.

Stage 7 will see the riders taking on a 230-km flat course between Belfort and Chalon-sur-Saone. EFE-EPA
