Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz, who earlier this week became the youngest player since 2013 to win a match on the ATP Tour, said he feels prepared to compete at tennis' highest level but is aware that a long process awaits him.

The 16-year-old got the attention of the tennis world at the Rio Open when he scored a hard-fought 7-6 (7-2), 4-6, 7-6 (7-2) victory early Tuesday over seventh-seeded countryman Albert Ramos Viñolas, who at age 32 is double his age.
