North Korea launched what appeared to be two short-range ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan on Sunday, according to South Korean and Japanese military sources, in its fourth weapons test carried out this month.

The launch was confirmed in Seoul by the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), according to local news agency, Yonhap, as well as the Japanese government, state broadcaster NHK said, adding that the projectiles fell outside the country’s Exclusive Economic Zone. EFE-EPA
