The new possible daily Covid-19 infections in North Korea have fallen below 100,000 for the first time since the country confirmed the presence of the virus on May 12, state media reported Saturday.

Some 88,520 people developed possible coronavirus symptoms on Friday, some 20,500 fewer than a day ago, the state-run KCNA said.

Since April end, when local authorities suspected that the virus began to spread, some 3.36 million people developed "fever," a term used by the regime for possible cases, due to the lack of testing abilities. EFE
