The Philippines, a country with a large number of people working at sea, has begun the repatriation of some 4,000 crew members and sailors stranded in different parts of the world because of travel restrictions following the COVID-19 outbreak.

On Wednesday, 881 Filipinos arrived at Manila's international airport from the United States. They will not be put under a 14 day quarantine before they resume their daily life, the Department of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.EFE-EPA
